Jaycee Signature is a Nigerian fashion brand founded in 2021 by Jessica Chioma Eluagu. What began unexpectedly has grown into a fashion brand driven by creativity, identity and a desire to see African heritage expressed in fresh and contemporary ways.
OUR STORY
The story of Jaycee Signature began after the passing of my grandmother in 2020. While preparing for her burial, I needed an outfit made and experienced firsthand difficulty on how it could be, to have something created within the expected timeframe. After watching my cousin make an outfit in just a few hours, I found myself asking, “Why can’t I make my own clothes?” That simple question sparked a curiosity that would change my path. I began making clothes for myself, discovering a passion for design and creativity along the way. What started as something personal gradually became a business, and in 2021, Jaycee Signature was born. Today, that same curiosity continues to inspire the brand.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
African fashion is rich with history, artistry and identity. At Jaycee Signature, we believe our heritage should not only be preserved it can be reimagined. As African-inspired fashion continues to grow globally, our goal is to create pieces that go beyond traditional interpretations. We combine elements of Nigerian and African heritage with contemporary silhouettes, modern styling and thoughtful design to create fashion for the woman of today. Our designs are created for the woman who wants to embrace where she comes from while expressing who she is becoming.
